GCL-Poly Energy sees sales of polysilicon and silicon chips down by 43.4% YOY and up by 10.6% YOY respectively in Q1
GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Limited (03800) announced the business performance in Q1 2017. The average selling price of polysilicon was USD17.25/kg VAT excluded, up by 23.57% YOY; the total outputs were about 19,500mt, up by 6.9% YOY; while the sales were 1,896mt, down by about 43.4% YOY; the capacity remained 70,000t by the end of Q1.
The decrease in sales was caused by internal consumption of silicon chips.
The average selling price for silicon chip was USD0.14/w, down by 26.3% YOY; the total outputs were about 5,038mw, up by about 19.2% YOY; the total sales were 4,916mw, up by about 10.6% YOY; and the capacity increased to 20gw by the end of Q1.
The report noted that all study and technical upgrade of the company progressed well in Q1 and more new products will be launched in Q2. Acquisitions from SunEdison Inc. and other sellers were finished successfully with the technique to be imported soon. All these measures will promote outputs and reduce costs as well as product quality, further enhancing company’s competitiveness.
